Samsung Galaxy S2 camera quality

New Samsung Galaxy S2 review from the Philippines shows impressive camera quality.

Yugatech blog reviewed the Samsung Galaxy S2, which is expected to arrive in the Philippines this quarter. According to the site, the Galaxy S2′s 8 megapixel rear camera “is among the best ones” they’ve seen so far, and adding that the shutter speed is faster. See the camera quality test of the Samsung Galaxy S2 in the video embedded below:

But here comes the minus sign, the review added that the lack of dedicated camera button is a “little disappointing.” Dedicated camera button is one of the popular features of some Nokia smartphones that are currently available in Asia like the Nokia N8. With a dedicated camera button, users can automatically use the phone’s camera by pushing the button.

The reviewed Samsung Galaxy S2 is the version which was released last quarter that is using a 1 GHz dual-core processor. In USA and United Kingdom, the revamped Galaxy S2 is expected to ship with 1.2 GHz dual-core processor making the phone faster.

The battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S2 was also noted. The review claims the new Sammy phone performed an impressive 2 days without charging experience “with mostly calls and SMS with light WiFi browsing.”

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is considered as the flagship phone of the South Korean-based company for this year, and the phone that will try to rival Apple’s mythical iPhone 5. Rumors suggest that the iPhone 5 will arrive in September, and might feature an 8 megapixel rear camera too, and also expected to use the new dual-core A5 chip.

Speaking of the iPhone 5, no developments yet about the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S2 in USA. But in United Kingdom, the Galaxy S2 is scheduled to arrive on April 27th via Phones4U.

Note: The Samsung Galaxy S2 is also expected to ship with Android Gingerbread, the latest Google mobile OS version available for smartphones.
