Samsung Electronics will release the Galaxy S 2, its new flagship, through three mobile service providers here on April 29 following a press launch.
The Galaxy S 2 can process application programs about twice as fast as earlier models. Its screen size is 4.3 inches, as compared to the previous models' 4 inches. It has an extra-slim body measuring 8.9 mm and was favorably received at a mobile communications exhibition in Spain in February.
LG Uplus starts taking pre-orders for the phone Thursday, and KT beginning this week. An SK Telecom staffer said the company will not take pre-orders because it has a sufficient stockpile to meet customer demand.
