Samsung Galaxy Ace Will be Known as Galaxy Cooper; Specs Revealed



The Samsung S5830 or Galaxy Ace will be reportedly known as the Galaxy Cooper. The new device, which was also touted as the Galaxy S Mini, is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2011 next month.
According to the Thai website MXPhone, the Samsung Galaxy Mini/Ace/Cooper (or whatever name it gets in the future) will have a price tag of 10,900 Thai Baths which roughly translates to Rs.16,200.

There are also rumors doing the rounds that suggest that this phone will get different official names in different countries. The Galaxy Cooper name is thought to be for India. This is not the first time that Samsung is playing with the names of its phones, so no surprises here.

The specs list of the upcoming device has also leaked, and it includes Android 2.2 (Froyo) with TouchWiz 3.0 interface, a 3.5 inch 480×320 display, an 800MHz Qualcomm processor, and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.

The device will also feature DLNA, HSDPA (7.2 Mbps), EDGE/GPRS, WiFi, A-GPS, along with a 3.5 mm audio jack for music lovers, FM with RDS, 150MB of internal storage and microSD support (2 GB card included in the box), and a 1350 mAh battery powers the phone. The phone measures in at 112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5 mm and weighs 113g.
